The origins of Abu Rawia restaurants in Alexandria date back to the 1960s and were founded by Hajj / Abdo Bassiouni, alias Abu Rawia,which managed the art of grilled meat making, and was the beginning in the bahri area of Street Al-Hajjari was a meeting place for all categories of Egyptian, Arab and even international society because of its original Oriental character, followed by the opening of the Al-Ajami branch and finally the Smouha branch, which added and developed the art of fish and seafood industry in addition to the art of grilling industry.
